Dj has worked twenty years in the restaurant business. Working most of those years in Paris. One summer in the early nineties, the passion of crepe making was sparked. He spent the summer making crepes at a fair outside of Paris. In 2001 he found himself turning crepes again, this time at a crepe stand in the 11th arrondissement.

Rebekka, Dj's wife, was born and raised in Sonoma County. The French culture and cuisine has always been an interest and joy for her. In 2000 Rebekka left for Paris to teach English, where she and Dj met.

It's now 2010, Dj and Rebekka have been living in the bay area for the last three years and feel it's time to bring this joy and passion of crepe and the French 'je ne sais quoi' to the people of northern California.

La crêpe a moi - the crêpe of mine

On the streets of Paris, the 11th or 6th arrondissement, rue oberkampf or Montmarte, near Pigalle you can find a crêpe stand 'crêperie'. Approaching the crêperie the crepe batter is being poured on to the crepe griddle the smell of sweetness, warmth and flour hit the air. The vapors rising from the cooking crepe, just as quickly as the crepe was formed on the crepe griddle it's being flipped to cook on the other side.

Looking above is the menu 'la carte' all these choices. The next person in line orders "La crêpe à moi, je veux fromage et tomate." The crêpe is cooked and prepared right in front of you.
